Project summary
The project involved the construction of a new head office for Lapalme Group, an Eastern Townships-based company specializing in excavation and civil engineering. The building, with a total surface area of over 10,000 sq. ft., includes modern offices with glass partitions, conference rooms, a gymnasium equipped with changing rooms for employees, and a vast, bright cafeteria. The latter offers access to an outdoor terrace with a breathtaking view of the surrounding natural splendor.

Challenge #1
At the start of the project, the originally planned air-conditioning and heating system was replaced by a system based primarily on heat pumps. This change enabled the customer to maximize access to the advantageous subsidies available, while guaranteeing excellent energy efficiency throughout the building’s lifetime.
Challenge #2
At the customer’s request, a structural modification was made to close off a section of the floor that was originally intended to remain open in the building’s entrance. This change was made just one month before the project’s scheduled delivery date. To realize the customer’s vision, efficient and harmonious collaboration between all parties involved was essential in order to meet the desired move-in deadline.
