Challenge
The construction of architectural spandrels along the edge of the bridge, over its entire 63-meter span, represents a remarkable technical challenge. They feature three distinct radii of curvature, a specific geometric shape incompatible with traditional formwork methods. In addition, no visible tie bars were allowed, making the project even more complex.
To meet these requirements, we used 3D modeling and in-house prefabrication. The formwork sections were precisely designed, manufactured in the workshop and delivered to the site. Due to the symmetry of the fallout on either side of the bridge, we were able to successfully reuse the formwork twice, optimizing resources and time.
